Why Marshawn Lynch Sits During National Anthem Again?

Marshawn Lynch sits during national anthem again

Marshawn Terrell Lynch is an American footballer on Oakland Raiders of the National Football League (NFL).

He was a running back player. Last week Lynch didn’t really play; he was suited up this week and had his first carry for the Raiders since leaving retirement to join Oakland’s roster. he was getting noticeably for his different activities. Saturday night, before making his on-field debut in Oakland’s game against the Los Angeles Rams, he gets cached seated during the national anthem. It is the second time he did this. He did the same thing a year ago when then-49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick stayed seated to protest racial injustice. Recently, Lynch also sat last week’s preseason opener while the national anthem was playing and told coach Jack Del Rio he has done that throughout his career. Although, he did not say anything in public that, why he is sitting for the anthem.

Jack Del Rio said to the reporters, “This is something I’ve done for 11 years. It’s not a form of anything other than me being myself.” He said, “I very strongly believe in standing for the national anthem, but I’m going to respect Lynch as a man. So that’s a non-issue for me.”

Kaepernick said, if Lynch signs with a team this year, he’s going to stand for the anthem. Other players, who stand during the national anthem, last year have signaled that they’re going to stand this year as well. But Lynch is always going to do his own things.
